Flashback Friday

Color of Winter

When everyone else took shelter due to freezing temperatures and a weak attempt at a snow storm, the birds were out in numbers. The majestic male cardinals looked remarkable against the grey skies. We had as many as five male cardinals, two female cardinals, a bluejay or two, a few wrens and bluebirds and quite a few chickadees. I'm sure they thought it would be warmer down south, but not this week. They must be hungry because we have had to fill up the bird feeder every day.

Christmas Eve - Part II

After the CT scan, the fam went over to my in-laws to celebrate Christmas with them. I got to see my great niece, Z-babygirl. She is so cute and tiny.

Wow, I sure wouldn't want to start all over again. I still remember that the first year is exhausting! My niece looked good despite the C-section and ten days with little or no sleep.

Saturday

Saturday's just are not long enough...or maybe I just don't have enough energy to get everything done that I would like to. This morning, I got caught up on computer things for an hour...during which time Buddy put together a 300 piece puzzle (amazing!). Then we took off for the pool. Dinner out (Little Tony's). And to the movies (Ice Age 3). Tdawg is off on a church weekend event, so this is as empty nest as we get. It sure is quiet!

One year later

One year since receiving it, my digital camera is still the best gift ever. (Thank you Sweetie!) It kept me somewhat sane in Denver. I love the Ansel Adam-ish aspen trees in Dad's yard.
