The scrawny tomato plants that we put in buckets are taking over the back porch
Hibiscus in white and red and the pollenated changed color: pink!
The irises I just planted late. So pretty...always remind me of my mom. She had tons of irises in every color of the rainbow. Love the smell of them too.
Went to Spirited Art. It was fun...but a little too cooky cutter. I wasn't pleased (I know you are shocked!). So I reworked it. Sorry I couldn't recapture the left side sky...but I still like it better now.
Ah, senior prom. C looked gorgeous, as always. She is a lovely young lady. She and Tdawg are just friends...met at FRBC about ten years ago. Wish I could find the pic. She had short hair and was such a tomboy and he had the long hair. Got kind of sad tho...thinking about the next time I see the guys in a tux will probly be for one of their weddings. They just grow up too fast. Thankfully, everyone had a great, safe, memorable evening.
Madison County had the largest group of atheletes for the Summer Track and Field events at Troy University. Troy doesn't have bowling facilities, so we drove up to Montgomery. The lanes there were very nice! They had radar set up so we now know Buddy's ball speed. A whopping 18 miles an hour!! He came home with the silver medal.
Monday's are my favorite. No matter what kind of a day you have had...ML baseball warms your heart. I have such a good time with these kids. And they absolutely love being there!
my personal fav...love the tongue sticking out...such concentration!
Slugger is focused. He tries to hit the first pitch and he will chase after it! Last night he hit two homeruns. One went way over the centerfield fence. With those long arms, he can get quite a bit of power.
Still working on fixing the salt shaker picture. But in the meantime...I got help from Rhonda's class.
This is supposed to be the Pensacola lighthouse. I would like to go check it out for myself. Hmmm...roadtrip!
When you find out that you didn't order enough announcements...don't panic. Just call your crafty bestie. She will come up with a great solution and make it look awesome!! I helped (sort of)...by using the paper cutter.
The end of senior year has been a flurry of activity. Last weekend was prom.
They look so cute together. Wish I could find the pics from middle school when they went to church together. Tdawgs hair was long and hers was short... nothing like the awkward middle school years.
Just friends...they are so much alike...goofing off the whole time! She ended up out dancing him. Quite the accomplishment!
They bloomed! Always fun to start from a seed. According to Sharika, these are the N word (no not THAT N word) Nasturtiums. Yes they are hard to pronounce. We just call them Purdy.
My neighbors contribution to our front garden. Sundrops, also known as Evening Primrose
And the mint is going crazy! You can't even see the angel anymore. Looks like I need to make some Mojitos this weekend!
had to move the tulips, they apparently do not like their new home.
Irises always make me think of my mom. She had them in every color all the way down the long driveway. Just got some ruffle-y orange "sunset" ones. Can't wait until they bloom!
the dianthums are left over from a women's retreat (thanks Sherry!)
We took a roadtrip up to Nashville to check out American Pickers' Nashville store. I was hoping to find something to put in my Hoosier cabinet. But there was not much there. But it was still fun to pole around. Then we went to Cool Spring mall. I purchased nothing the whole day #ShoppingFailure
