Saturday was such a great day! I love chillin' with S and V. I never second guess: what I'm wearing, what I look like, things I say. They know me and still (somewhat) love me and are willingly spend time with me. And I oh so needed some girl time!
Once I got it home and worked on it some more, I liked it better. I have it in the front hall with some of my other batik-ish efforts.

Rock and Roll
Well, my version of Rock...
Got a pair of awesome rockers from Tractor Supply. Loved the natural look. So we decided just to varnish them. Messy. But it looks great. And it is my fav place to sit, rock and look at the trees, deer and wild turkeys.

The Little Things
I know I aggravate Cletus. Every time he does a project, I'm right there...asking questions. I know he is fully capable. I just want to know why he does what he does. I throw out suggestions. Then he has to tell me why that won't work. He thinks I'm questioning his ability. But I'm just trying to learn. Engineering has never been my strong suit. So I feel major accomplishment when "I can do it myself". Actually it helps Cletus too. He has time for other projects.
In the other house, the dryer was on the left and so the door opened the other way. It was a pain to have to reach over the door to put the laundry in. Then I realized, there was a way to flip the door. Yes, I did it myself! I am woman, hear me roar!! It isn't huge, but sometimes it is the little things that make life easier.

We are In!
We are in! Actually we have been in for about two weeks. But time has gotten away from me.
We are still unpacking boxes (like crazy). The first couple of days we got the tv and internet working. And unpacked essentials. We still have plenty of boxes to unpack. Our furniture doesn't really fit. But I expected that would happen. It has been a challenge trying to find places for all of the stuff. I think we still have too much of it. At least now, it is starting to feel more like home. The first weekend, we planted petunias in the big planters and set up the back porch with the wind chimes.
Also found a plant to fit the front porch.
Last weekend, we planted two dogwood trees in the front yard and seven rose bushes. In the back, we planted Buddy's tree, an evergreen.
He got it at Baccalaureate. The sermon was on the burning bush, so they all got "bushes" for graduation. And we planted Cletus' Japanese Maple.
He started the tree from seed he collected at work. We never got around to planting it in M'ville. Good fortune for us!

Baccalaureate and Grad Pics
Before Baccalaureate at Providence
Love our self portraits
The fam at Phil's before graduation
Thanks to Jeffrey for getting me a good pic. My camera did not like the low light.
Can you see him? From the center, go up and a little to the right.
